What is your elevator statement?
To source and supply local produce from the McLaren Vale area and the greater Fleurieu Peninsula area. The produce is stocked on an old train carriage that used to run from Willunga to Adelaide.
Why did you choose Willunga to set up your business?
The lack of stress, working in the city is no good for anyone. McLaren Vale has got a really laid back feel and the people are great – why wouldn’t you set up business here!
What are some of the secrets you like to share with interstate visitors and tourists when they stop in?
The “Bermuda Triangle” or what should be the “McLaren Vale Triangle”. Things tend to appear on the shelves and disappear very quickly. For myself, there is a fantastic winery called Hardys Tintara and across the road a great restaurant called Oscars. Food arrives and then disappears – nobody knows where it goes.
