Alex Ouwens is the Executive Director and co-founder of Ouwens Casserly Real Estate (OC), one of Australia’s leading independent real estate brands. Since launching the business in 2014 with long-time business partner Nathan Casserly, Alex has helped build a purpose-driven company that now employs over 170 people, manages close to 4,000 investment properties and sells more than 1,200 homes each year.

Alex entered the real estate industry in 2006 with a strong drive to help people grow their wealth, elevate their lifestyle and achieve long-term success through property. Known for his strategic mindset and high-energy leadership, he is passionate about career development and creating pathways that support OC team members to thrive both professionally and personally.

A lifelong learner and deep thinker, Alex aligns his values with the principles of Stoic philosophy including clarity, courage, discipline and justice. He was the youngest-ever President of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA) and is a sought-after speaker at leading industry events and leadership-focused podcasts around the country.

Outside of work, Alex is committed to giving back, especially through his support of the Childhood Cancer Association, a cause close to his heart. He is also a proud Crows supporter, a keen adventurer and an enthusiastic traveller with a love for global perspectives.

Alex’s greatest pride is his family. His wife Paula and their three children, Maya, Van and Finn, keep him grounded, cheeky and always leading with heart.
