GOOD SCHOOLS
Henley Beach is a suburb with a great lifestyle for families. Kids can walk or ride their bikes to many good schools close by – such as Henley Beach Primary School, Henley High School, Fulham Gardens Primary School and Fulham North Primary School.
There are excellent private schools too such as St Michael’s College, St Francis School in Lockleys and Nazareth Catholic College- which is a short drive away.

The Henley Surf Life Saving Club is not only known for its fully equipped and skilled lifesavers, but also for a fantastic clubhouse that looks right onto the beach and offers a full bar, platters and meals.

For footy lovers, there is the Henley Sharks Football Club. The Henley and Grange Community Centre offers various recreational programs and events. If you’re looking for space to grow your veggies and learn about sustainable gardening visit the Henley Community Garden.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Henley Beach is well connected by public transport.
The Grange line takes you straight to Adelaide Oval while an easy bus ride will take you into Adelaide CBD.
There are also buses to Harbour Town and Glenelg in the south or Grange, Semaphore, Port Adelaide and West Lakes Shopping Centre in the north.
If you’re travelling by car then most suburbs including the CBD are within a 10-15 minute drive.
WALK & BIKE TRAILS
The iconic River Torrens Linear Park which follows along 30 km of the River Torrens ends right at Henley Beach.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get on to the premier walking trail or ride your bike. Enjoy this car-free route which connects Henley Beach to the city and beyond.
There are also many coastal walks heading north and south from Henley Beach for the family to enjoy and explore.
For a less strenuous walk enjoy Henley Beach Jetty which is due to get an upgrade this year.

GOLF COURSES
There are plenty of excellent golf courses around Henley Beach for the golf enthusiast.
Adelaide Shores is one of the best public golf facilities while the championship golf course, Kooyonga Golf Club, is only 10 minutes away.
For family fun, there is West Beach Golf and West Beach Mini Golf close by.
