A character villa with it's best days still ahead

Auction Sat, 15th Feb - 10am (usp) Welcome to 2 Gurrs Road, an original c1910 symmetrical sandstone beauty with the charm of a Federation home, along with modern comforts. The classic street presence of this villa welcomes you in, while the home's gorgeous private backyard sanctuary entices you to stay. Beyond the bullnose veranda, tessellated tiles and sandstone walls, other period features such as Baltic pine floors, high ceilings, stained glass, ornate fireplaces and timber fretwork, have been tastefully retained. The more recent additions of open plan living, modern lighting, air conditioning and insulation, make for a comfortable modern lifestyle in this timelessly elegant home. At a time when space is such a precious commodity, this property comes through with the goods in a prime inner-Eastern Adelaide location. It features three large bedrooms, a large kitchen/living room with vaulted ceilings, and the beautiful timber-laden studio by the pool. The studio features separate access and has been utilised in the past as a fourth bedroom, additional living space, large home office and artist's studio. The house opens out to a large lawn under a the shady canopy of a Chinese elm tree, the perfect place for kids and animals to play. Adjacent to the lawn lies a large sundrenched concrete salt water swimming pool, productive veggie beds, espaliered fruit trees and multiple deck spaces for entertaining. So what's the next move?
